We will match the 5 pole filters (to within 40 Hz) on request. If your
filters are already that close you are in good shape. We can't guarantee
a good enough yield on filter offsets to get closer than that, though
most will be closer. Fortunately 40 Hz is more than adequate as you can

Compare the RS232 speed you have set in the K3 CONFIG menu with the
speed that HRD is trying to use.
Mine connects fine at 38400.
The K3 Utility sets the K3 baud rate automatically, so the updates may
work fine, but other applications may not.

Access denied here typically means that another program (perhaps the K3

Thanks Bill.I like the 5 poles for the reasons you stated recommending them
way back when.I ordered the ones you spec'd based on the idea of covering
the octaves... I agree that the narrow ones are for more extreme situations
but figured for $30 I'd get the narrow ones matched as
I am using a TW2010 by TW antennas. It is a five band, 10 thru 20 meter,
compact vertical dipole. The antenna easily breaks down and stores in a
three foot long travel bag and has many good reviews on eham. I think it is
a good match with my K3 because it is very well made and very portable.

and I charged the battery for 1 6 hours from a bench power supply. The power
supply showed some 200 mA or so being drawn initially but after overnight
charging this had fallen to a few tens of mA. When I switched the

Just got my K3 running psk and I am using VOX to start and stop it -
which seems to work fine - Is there a VOX threshold control so I

Was annoyed by some pops/clicks when using earphones.
Turning on NR to F1-2 and NB to DSP t1-2 , IF NAR 1 seems to have eliminated
most of the problem.
Anybody have any better settings or a different solution?

If it was working before the failure, one should always assume a single
failure. Multiple failures are quite rare and are normally induced by
some outside force (incorrect power, lightning surge, etc.)
There are instances where one failed component will take out another

You need a power supply that develops at least 14.1 volts and up to 14.3
volts to properly charge the battery through the K2 coaxial power jack.
It sounds like you were using a 13.8 volt supply.

My K3 is stuck in MCU LD mode. I have tried everything in reference to the
com port settings. The K3 utility continues to say K3 not communicating. I
have the latest version of the utility and have attempted to re-load 2.10

I have reproduced the problem on my K3, and I haven't noticed it before. I'm
running f/w 2.13 and I wonder if that has introduced the problem?
