Hi Gary, The quickest way to determine if the P3 is talking to the K3 is to look at the top of the P3 display. If the current K3 frequency is not displayed in the center of the screen then you have not established communications. 73, Mike K2MK Garry Shapiro wrote I have had a P3 for some time

Benny, The KPA500 is specified for 500 watts output for CW/SSB/Data modes, so no de-rating for RTTY is required. I recall during Field Test, K9YC was instructed to run an RTTY contest at 700 watts output just to 'see what happens' - the KPA500 survived nicely. The fans are oversize and

Not usually one to post Me Too type comments, but this one strikes home. My KPA500 is a kit built one that I've had for around a year now. I asked the same question early on and was given the same answers Don and Gary (plus probably others) have given you. While not running it at 700 watts,

This may be premature, but if you don't find trouble, it could have been that the 'crowbar' circuit on the regulator board may have operated to protect your radio from high voltage, in which case doing a power cycle on the PS will have reset it. We had a thread relating to this one year ago.
