Hopefully the last issue here.
Notice the power output drops off just after first moment of transmitting. Both
SSB and CW.
ATU is bypassed (occurs also when ATU is in as well)
Some kind of TX AGC issue perhaps?

Been having issues with the quality of the CW sending from my K3. Still chasing
down other possible fixes but recently heard that there was a problem sending
over 30 wpm with RIT on? What is the story on this and fix?

Now I can not transmit CW. I get an ERR TXF
indication. What needs to be changed to correct?

Have an inquiry with the N1MM logging group but thought I would raise the
question here.
Is it possible to toggle the RX antenna selection via the Keyboard with N1MM
software?

There is a Yahoo group called KWM-1 run by a WA5. Haven’t been there in years.

Yesterday while just listening to a SSB QSO, the receiver just went quiet and
when I tried to transmit, got nothing.
Power setting was at 75 watts and varied properly but meter and external output
monitor was showing nothing.
Thought the filters stopped passing RF.
Rechecked the filter
Appreciate all the suggestions

Interesting
Powered up radio again and worked fine again. Within minutes failed again so I
am suspecting the tmp connectors as suggested by K1XX (and others) and the SYM
area.

Specifically the front panel button to select shift Lo Hi Width do not toggle.
Only stays in FC or BW.
Did a firmware reload (newest from web) and no change.
What’s the fix?

Over the weekend, I noticed a few characters would “disappear “ while sending.
By that I mean, part of a CW transmission would not got out even though I hear
the full character in the monitor but no output power.
What is this a sign of? Am about to return to factory for encoder switch
Requested technical comment from a long established coaxial cable manufacturer
on this topic.
This was the response:
The Vp is not measured at any frequency and is independent of frequency. The
only variable in play is the dielectric constant. The Vp represents the speed

At power on, getting this message. Everything is locked up. When different
buttons are pressed as an effort to fix, radio goes into transmit and have to
power off.
After some warm up time, problem goes away. The station is in a cool/cold
basement.
What is the source of the problem? Radio

Unbelievable
Ignorance run a muck!
Be sure to keep us notified on your progress!
On a separate note, on People’s Court (TV show), two hams were fighting over a
SteppIR that was sold at a flea market- long story but it came down to buyer
beware and sold as is rule was the conclusion.
Have an older K3 that is now out of balance with audio on the headphone line.
Right side is now low compared to the left.
It was at the factory just over a year ago.
Is there an adjustment for this?

How does one adjust the tuning rate on the RIT knob? Right it takes multiple
turns of the knob to reach a multiple khz change.
Have two K3’s but one has this problem.
