with a supplied coax jumper
to the tuner or with the cable connected to the supplied BNC jack. You
can connect either, but not both at the same time. I agree it is confusing,
and it is hard to describe, but we seem to figure it out when we have the parts
in hand.

or less amplifier
sufficient. However, 10 watts is not enough drive for most amps, so check the
drive required before you buy. I get about 30 or 40 watts out of the 4-572Bs
on 10 meters with 10 watts of drive. Many amps will require less drive than
the Clipperton L, so check.

With 19 months of pretty heavy CW operation, I have not detected a single time
when I thought a steeper skirt on my 5 pole 500 Hz filter would have helped,
but I think you can order one from Inrad if you like.

AD5X offers the product in kit form. You need to be able to solder small
stuff, but it is duck soup compared to a WinKeyer, much less a K2.

Steve,
You stated Every time
a
measurement, two or more meters and you have an argument. Of course, if you
are a nut case like me and like to see the D'arsonval needle bounce, go ahead
and put the external meter in.

I do have a KAT3 and have never owned a KAT2 or KAT100. My owners manual is
the one that came with the K3 in June of 2008. It does not say anything except
pushing the ATU Tune button. What you say is news to me!
