Good day, I have light from the LCD escaping from the right hand side of the LCD display through the push buttons on the front panel. I thought I followed the directions in the assembly manual, remembering that I positioned the light blockers per the photo in the manual. Has anyone else have

Jim, I also had a light leakage problem. The only way to correct it is to remove the front panel and disassemble it where you can get to the front panel board. Reposition the blocker strip to be in close proximity to the buttons. Roy Morris W4WFB

Steve, I tried to poke the blocker strip with a strait pin through the button holes. That did not work for me. Disassembly and repositioning the blocker strip was the only way I was able to block the light. Poking with a pin is worth a try, however. Roy Morris W4WFB

This would be very difficult, Gary. The LCD backlight is integrated with the LCD itself, as a module, and if I remember correctly it contains an array of 14 LEDs. The LED color is fixed, and there are no plans to offer an alternate color. 73, Wayne N6KR On Mar 8, 2009, at 4:06 PM,
