I did something similar last year at the SeaPac Convention, buying a
Kenwood TS-2000X for the same coverage.
However, the 2000X is my dedicated VHF/UHF radio.
For HF, my K3 and new K3S is the go-to option.

the person who posted this is one of the VERY FEW who have preferred the Icom.
