God I hope not. I know the manual says 35ma in Receive, 40ma max w/ headphones. I was hoping that was just an average, because I have 42.1 with the Freq Readout illuminated and 39 ma when the Freq lights are not illuminated, regardless of wether the headphones are plugged in or not.
