I own a K3s and U4 of the KLPA3a low power amplifier has failed.
As the schematic for the KLPA3A does not show the part number for U4, does
anybody know the part number so I can but a replacement?
Thanks,
Hal

Dave, et al,
The K3s is one of several 1.8 to 54MHz transceivers that has suffered the
consequences of using VMOS FETs in their final amplifiers.
And some, even if tuned as well as possible to minimize splatter, will not be
considered friendly neighbors on the congested bands of today.
Do the TX gain parameter numbers have meaning such as dB or are they just
relative numbers ?

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the gain information.
I am going to look at the the gain numbers and see if there is any correlation
with the wildly different input impedances to the output lowpass filters.
For reference, I found the input Z to the filters to be as follows:
160: 63.8 +J1.6
80: 35.7 +J5.1
All the more reason the schematic should be public!
