Okay, I was just curious, I am going to straight-update to Ubunto 8.04
due to driver support... the LTS is not that much supported after
these few years :)
I guess updating 6.06LTS that works with EMC2 2.1.5 now isn't worth
the hassle now.

I heared some people are working on EMC for Ubuntu 8.04 LTS.
This probably means a newer kernel and newer RTAI.
And here comes my little request: Could you use a RTAI Version = 3.5
and enable the RTDM option in RTAI (CONFIG_RTAI_RTDM) ?
This would make it possible to use EMC with RTnet
Gene, the same problem here, I can only use VESA on a newer form
graphics card. Sometines you just need a pretty good view on what you
are going to mill and in what orientation, etc. I'm glad the speed
resolution and smoothness increased ever more than it was... great.
