Nice. :)
That's a pattern I'll use when I create my own deckpads for windsurfboards.

Here's another python script for Axis, which generates Hilbert curves.
These

That's exceptionally neat! Perhaps I'll find a use for it, too.

Have you considered a DA collet chuck as an arbor?
I recently purchased a Lyndex ER25 stub spindle (ebay) for $20. Collets
are about the same each.
They are out there..

Hi Aram,
ER series collets make a good system. ER20 would allow you to go from 1
mm or so to .500 inch in overlapping collets. I use ER20's on my cinci
and they work just fine.
ER20's are small enough so you could turn down the shaft just behind the
collet section and use smaller bearings

For a jog pendant, absolutely. Jogging is done under optical feedback
control, so even with a MPG the odd missed step wouldn't even be
noticed.
With an analogue joypad latency is a non-issue.

Is this going to install over the top of the current emc? It would be handy

Actually, these packages probably will install over the top of the
current emc2 as far as I know. I think you can only get stand-alone
or run-in-place if you compile emc yourself. These new packages are
for those who want to try the latest changes without having to compile
it themselves.
