I really ought to get a 7i84 as well. The current
control uses 24 inputs and 10 outputs, although
I could make the machine work with the 16 in
and 8 out of the 7i97 if I ditched the limit switch
inputs and relied on soft limits and the home
switches, and didn't use some of the mechanical
buttons
Now that right there is amazing customer service !

Hello Andrew,
Is there a baking resistor installed on your drive? I think a proper one
should solve your problem and you can keep the good deceleration rates.

Possibly, if you were to add a limit2 component to the hal. That would
limit the _rate_ of speed change, not the time.
It might be better done at

Hey Andy.
Vfd does not have positioning mode.
So I need to orient with velocity commands and pid.

just got a few questions for the group
is it possible to set different ramp values depending on spindle
Awesome thanks andy.
I guess everyone is just busy.
Been mucking around with some hal stuff.

hey everyone
looking for help on how to set up spindle orientation.
I have successfully set up my vfd with closed loop flux vector control so
it is like a servo now and I am supposed to be able to make it rigidly hold
position if I set up a pid loop. the level of control is awesome now
anyway
