Before - way before - My parents were told by the school I couldn't hear when I was in the 4th grade. No one knew I couldn't hear well. I have learned to cope pretty well. Sometimes, when I 'hear' something I will realize I felt the vibrations on my skin. On Fri, Jul 1, 2022 at 8:06 PM andy pugh

Hi Martin, Good links. The other issue I've been fighting for some time, and one reason for the Pi4 is a backup server. For now the Pi4 c/w Mesa7i92 and a couple of break out boards has been great for on the bench testing for my CAN bus based power draw bar. Project also on hold for now.

I didn't actually pull the trigger at 1 cent because I somehow thought it might not ever get here. I'm sometimes amazed at what people get up to with RPIs: https://domipheus.com/blog/raspberry-pi-4-pci-express-it-actually-works-usb-sata-gpu/

I'm running an emco pc turn 55 with a pi just because I could. It's not the ideal, but at the time, it was a cheap solution that could be harnessed to get people away from trying to run machines on an Arduino. Lately, however, the price and availability have become crazy, so I found the GK41 mini

Hi Chris, I like that idea but the if you are using an Ethernet Based MESA 7i92 then the Ethernet port should not really be shared with the rest of the system. Ideally then for the rest of the system there should be a USB 3.0 to Ethernet Dongle. Or perhaps a SPI bus to Ethernet dongle since

I solved this problem (using Pi4 as a development system) by placing all my files on a file server. Development systems see near constant re-compiles and write to log files, source code edits and backups and so on. The networking on the Pi4 is pretty fast, or "fast" compared to an SD card. The
