I am working on Box packing machine,. it has 2 axis (Step/Dir) and 5
ACIM motors with Encoder and VFD. and 30 input outputs. i am planning
to use EMC with Mesa cards.
Mesa 5i20 + 7I48 6 channel Analog servo interface. My VFDs can take
0-10v .. i just need to syncronize their speed only.

5i20 have 96 IOs so it is more than enough for all encoders etc.
is it possible by tweaking in HAL etc???
if yes where to start? or any better solution??

How well do they need to be synchonised?
What I would do, I think, is run one motor as a master in closed-loop
speed control, then slave the other motors to its encoder counts
