Hello, Following our last meeting, we have done the following:
* The domains europython2008.eu, europython2009.eu, europython2010.eu have been registered. * The EP2008 website has been copied to a new server using the europython2008.eu domain. * A new website has been put up, also on the new server, at europython2009.eu and europython.eu also points here. * We have a repository at repo.uk-archive.net, currently it holds just the brochure. The new 2009 site is static and uses the python.org build system, thanks to Tim Parkin. It has some content in it, and will need things like registration and talk submissions added. Martin Hellwig has prepared some sponsorship info, and an announcement. A new wiki (empty and unstyled) has been put up at wiki.europython2009.eu. I've asked Thomas Waldmann to check this out; Tim is to supply the style. The new wiki will need: * Styling * Populating, with a mixture of ep2008 and pyconuk 2008 extracts to seed it. The intention is that next year, europython.eu will be pointed to europython2009.eu, so we retain each year's site under it's own url. If you are all happy with this, we need to get the europython.org DNS changed to point to the new server: preferable we should try and get the domain transferred to us at the same time, Please check things over before Tuesday's meeting. If you're happy we can go live with Martins' announcement. Thanks, John -- _______________________________________________ Europython-improve mailing list [email protected] http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/europython-improve
