Have you expanded the account on the folder view?
Mail in maildir stores isn't moved into the evolution space on purpose, it just stays in the maildir area.

the problem is that the cert does not pass mozilla's libnss inspection
for one reason or another. perhaps you have multiple imap accounts with
the same ssl cert or perhaps your imap server has changed hostnames or

it should actually disable the expunge function.
