Is it possible to adjust column headers globally? Currently when I adjust
headers (widths, adding and subtracting headers), the changes I make only
apply to the folder I am in. I'd like all of my folders to have the same
adjustments, but it appears that I must manually adjust each. Is there a

Most people I correspond with in email top-post, so I do too. I don't have a

Using Evolution 2.26.1 in Ubuntu 9.04 64-bit.
I noticed a strange, unnamed folder, which I cannot identify or delete and
is only visible in Evolution, not in Gmail's web client. You can
right-click and select Delete, but it does not in actuality get deleted. It
is the blue highlighted folder in

I've noticed this for awhile now but never mentioned it because it is not a
usability issue. Whenever I resize columns in Evolution (in the mail view),
for example, From, Subject, Date, or Size columns, I can literally hear the

What is the trick to being able to see who the BCC recipients are in a mail
that you send? I can see the recipients in the BCC list before I send the
email, but after sending, I go to my sent mail and look and cannot see any
BCC recipients. Is there something to enable to be able to see this?

I apologize for the bump, but no one has shown any outward concern that the
only apparent way to report bugs for Evolution is broken. Can someone help
me to report this bug? Please see the post I am replying to for details.

I don't know if anyone's mentioned it yet, but IMAP is a great way to migrate
your emails during upgrades and software changes. You could create a gmail
imap account and import all of your local emails into gmail's servers. Then
when you update your system and set up Evo, just set up your gmail
I would suggest your last idea of not importing, at least to start. Start
from scratch with Evolution and refer back to old email by loading up Tbird.
Do this for one month. If you are happy enough with Evo to switch over,
then there are methods for importing emails. I don't have any links han

I just wanted to post an update. I never could figure out how to get a
persistent, "in your face" pop-up for my calendar reminders. I just found
an interesting thread in Ubuntu Forums from another user, that details my
problem, along with a possible solution that did not work for the OP of the

Recently, I started noticing that if I leave my computer for a few hours,
then come back, Evolution has greyed out (locked up) and must be force quit.
If I leave Evo closed and simply launch it when mail-notify tells me there
is mail, I never have a problem. It's only when I leave Evo up and run

Is it possible to have Evolution open the Calendar by default when the
program is first loaded -- instead of opening up on the Mail page?

Hi, I am using the latest version that comes with Ubuntu 8.04.1 - 2.
I was wondering if it was possible for Evolution calendar reminders to be
made more persistent or "in your face". Currently I see a notification icon
and if I click on it, it then displays a pop up window on my screen. Once I
view this reminder, it goes away. What I would like is for the remind
I also have this problem. It started with a recent Evolution patch that
Update Manager installed around 5/30/08. Someone on Ubuntu forums made the
observation that this seems to occur if you set your OS to auto-login. If
you disable auto-login then Evolution does not ask for keyring password.
Hi, a couple of questions on the calendar:
1) Is it possible to make the calendar display with Sunday as the first day
of the week instead of Monday?
2) Is it possible to remove the icons from Calendar events (alarm, repeat,
etc) because they take room away from the text description, sometimes
