Changed our Certificate and SMTP email domain name in our organization. Outlook
2010 out of office reply errors out with "Server currently unavailable, try
again later". Autodiscover is failing internally. OWA works fine for Out of
office so users are redirected there as a workaround. The only
Exchange 2010 SP3 – from a merger. Recently upgraded from 2010 SP1 RU5.
The setting on maximum attachment size at one point on these mailbox was
unlimited. So, as I am looking at these mailboxes, there are some 500mb
attachments. I discovered this after the fact.

As a followup….
I increased the idle timeout from 15 minutes to 60 minutes for Outlook on the
Web in O365.
All problems ceased for the end users who were affected.
Very interesting.
I’d love some more detail behind it, but at the end of the day I guess it does
not matter.
