If you lose only a single Exchange server, then no. You cannot lose a message.
Here is a discussion about shadow redundancy, compared between Exchange 2010
and 2013.

I would not expect 2012 R2 support with CU3. Just look at the timing when CU3
was due vs. 2012 R2 GA.

To the second question, you get to choose who receives the report,
Microsoft does not support removing IPv6 from Exchange servers, Exchange 2010
or Exchange 2013.

Well, yes. Before a user becomes an Exchange object, it has no RecipientType.
You don't need to set the RecipientRestrictionFilter. Just the RecipientRoot.

Has anyone reported this to an Outlook MVP? (I don't personally have a
mechanism for reporting Outlook bugs, but I don't recognize the issue from a
basic search on the Office buglist.)

It's time-stamped on the iMAPIprop, but you will have to use EWS or a MAPI
application to read that (such as the MAPI Editor).
ALSO - it's not conclusive and should not be used forensically. For example, a
user can have message preview open, but have it set to NOT mark a message as
read.

I think what I may do for a test is to install Office 2013 non click to run and
see if that helps.

have worked.
if I run get-casmailbox -filter {activesyncalloweddeviceids -ne $null} |ft

I get a list of all the device ids.
I am stumped.
