It wont cause problems with the services starting!
I have used this many times, and especially after a restore where the
dir.edb was not recoverable, and no good backup existed, you have no
choice!
Read up on some of the DR papers, I have seen some docs on it from
before when we ran 55, but we have been on 2k for a while now...
