RE: BES 4.1.x, Exchange 2007 SP1 and OOF
Hi Alex Could you elaborate a bit please? Specifically, do your users create OOF messages on their device, and at some later time, the OOF becomes disabled? Thanks Richard From: Alex Fontana [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 28 March 2008 08:16 To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Subject: BES 4.1.x, Exchange 2007 SP1 and OOF I know this has been discussed at least a little bit, but I'm way too much of a neat freak to keep any mail around for long... The issue was blackberry users on Exchange 2007 SP1 create an OOF, it works for a bit then stops working. Reading the release notes of 4.1.5 which is supposed to support SP1 gives no indication that this particular problem is going to be fixed. Anyone talk to RIM about this? We have a ticket open but they refuse to fess up about this being a known issue...bastards Thanks, Alex. ~ Ninja Email Security with Cloudmark Spam Engine Gets Image Spam ~ ~ http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Ninja~
RE: BES 4.1.x, Exchange 2007 SP1 and OOF
FWIW we have experienced the same issue with our BB users and (kinda sorta) have a work around. Since we are still supporting O2K3 users we have them log into OWA on the 2007 server and set their out of office there. The dig is that you need to set a specific beginning and end time for the OOF. This seems to have fixed the issue so far. John W. RE: BES 4.1.x, Exchange 2007 SP1 and OOF
Actually, it's a great feature - the morons that can't use our remote access system to read their e-mail (and set the OOF they forgot about) can schedule the OOF long in advance and be done with it. Re: BES 4.1.x, Exchange 2007 SP1 and OOF
BES user sets their OOF message through Outlook. If you send a message to that user you get the OOF. After about 30 minutes or so if anyone else sends that user a message no OOF is generated. This only happens to BES users who have a mailbox on 2007. On undefined, Sobey, Richard A [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi Alex Could you elaborate a bit please?
