Hi,
I suppose you only have one DSL connection, connected to only one
ethernet interface

I did about 6 different installations, and I can confirm this bug in
drakxconf on every single one of the installations I performed.
Moreover, drakconf simply doesn't work:

Hi,
is there a way to create an iso9660 equivalent of the network.img
bootable install disk?
We have quite a number of workstations to install in our school, but a
lot of floppydrives suffer from wear.
This is how I want to rollout:
0. Create a bootable CD from network install floppy image

configurations like
make/model, hard disk, memory, etc ... you can install
linux on one system only, then 'dd' the hard disk to
the other disks. well you will have to collect the
hard disks from all the workstations though.
just adding to your ideas

Hi,
today did some testing with Linux-Mandrake 8.1 beta 1. I tried to setup a
system using ldap-authentication from the installer.
Hmm, looks nice I tought, reviewed the ldap settings (ldap dn and
ldap-host=localhost) and finished the install. After rebooting I got the GDM
login display,
ftp.nluug.nl has a corrupted CD2 iso-image!
Right, 1,5GB wasted bandwidth: 2th download resulted in same md5sum (wrong
one), so I suppose their Image is corrupted. I wonder why they don't check
the md5sums before publishing
Anyone knows a mirror with a good image of the second CD?
You may want to try Pronto! (www.muhri.net)
+ very fast (using MySQL backend)
+ supports different storages types: Maildir, MBOX, MySQL...
+ very configurable
+ gtk-perl / web / text-interface
+ command line commands to fetch, send, ...
+ a bunch of other features
Take a look at it...

Hi,
I installed the second beta of Mandrake 8.0 and I am currently facing
the problem of print spool files that are not removed from the spool
area. Printing is configured with cups but I don't think that has
anything to do with my problem.
The spool files are created with mode 0700, de mode of
the same result using .forward files
with postfix?

Try
/etc/hosts.allow:
sshd:ip of allowed host
or
sshd:ALL

Allright,
I traced the problem down - rather a lucky coincidence - to the fact that
listing a certain directory's content causes the crash!
Subdirectories of this certain directory are accessible. So the problem
lies in the Reiserfs filesystem modules.
I consulted the users and it seems they
