I have a dualboot setup, and had to replace my video card. No problems in
ML. But W2K won't recognize the new card and the video is corrupted. So I
need to reinstall W2K.
I think this will this screw up the bootsector so that I can't boot into
Linux. And if so, how do I correct it?

I have a CD-RW and a DVD that do not automount on boot up. The directories
got created during install but no mounting. I also had to put modprobe
sg in the rc.local file for the SCSI emulation to work on the CD-RW. Is
this a known problem or something I need to do differently in the setup?

The problem was two dud links in /etc/alternatives. It appears that Mandrake
upgraded the compiler at the last minute and forgot to change the links.
Of course, now the original application needs to be recompiled, but it works.

Perhaps there is more that one dhcpd running on the box. What does the
log file say? What does the output from ifconfig say? What does your
dhcpd.conf file say?
Only if he has several or virtual address's which will all have to have an
entry/declaration even if their not used to give address out.

I just installed 7.2 beta 2 on my machine and it
