date. When I switch on the scanner a /dev/usb/scanner0 device is
created, the problem is about permissions: USER: francisco and GROUP:
root!!!, so just the user francisco or the root could access to the

Finally the beta1 partition crashes; I was waiting for this since my
Mandrake 9.0 couldn't read the /dev/hdb13 partition with 9.1 (in the
list there are several messages about some kind of incompatibility
between ext2 and ext3 from 9.0 and 9.1). After a kernel panic, my hdb
seemed to have crash,
I also have a nvidia geforce 4 card and I had some troubles with kde
before install from cooker kdemoreartwork-liquid (all the windows
transparent and horrible fonts overlaping); now the screen under 9.1beta
1 is pretty good.

But one of the great thinks in kde is have icons on the desktop!!
If you need remove the Removable media icons just need go tu /usr/bin
and as root edit the file kdesktp-links and erase the lines about
Removable media. You can conserv all the others icon you like.

1- With supermount enabled, when I try to copy several files sometimes,
after few minutes, some of the files in the cdrom are not recognized
(the file Toshiba... is not valid).

Under kde 2.2 the left windows key open the kde menu, the right windows
key doesn't run.

The plugin for those dvd are not supported by Mandrake, due to the
possibitity of legal problems in some countries (e. USA), you can find

The result is similar that an spanglish ^_^ some words in Spanish,
