Hello -
Have any of you ever seen any kind of OEM-style install on a linux
box? Something that might have a scripted startup to walk you through
hostname identification, startup daemon selection, network config, root
password setting, etc., etc.? I'm trying to put something like that

Nope. It, too, is a software modem featuring low performance in the best of
circumstances.
Use models 2919, 2822, or 2818.

MandrakeSoft is very pleased to announce that its new Linux

to discover all the new killer features that have been introduced.
This beta version (NOT FOR PRODUCTION USE)

Hello,
sorry for this newbie question.
I checked most of the ftp servers but I couldn't find
and cd iso. The installation manual describes
I am having trouble compiling software that expects the SMP headers.
(latest vmware) Has anyone got SMP headers to match a current SMP binary
kernel from mandrake? I have tried building kernels by hand several
times and always failed.
Why doesn't Mandrake create an SMP headers RPM?
Thanks,
This from another mailing list I'm on... how nice of Microsoft
Presumably this is something you should only do *after*

they don't suggest this in the article.

I would THINK so, however, IIRC, they didn't specify ISA or PCI. I'd
take a look at the ISA version and see if it says it requires/works
They forgot to add that once you have Windows installed on your dual
boot system you just re-install your linux directories as before and
return Lilo to its proper resting place in the mbr.

What a joke! Anybody that's gone as far as installing linux would know what to do if
they're in the mood to be closed-in and throw
