Hi all,
I'm trying to see if the qemu-kvm stuff in F11 is a good replacement
for me for VirtualBox and running into one problem. I can't seem to
get the VM to add a sound device to a windows XP guest. In the
Virtual Machine itself, a es1370 sound device was automatically
created. I removed it

Dear fellow Fedora users,
Is there a way to tell if a kernel is 64 bit or 32 bit? If one compiles and
installs a kernel from kernel.org. Why am I asking? I have a 64 bit Fedora 11
installed and it showed 2.6.29.4-???x86_64 at the end so I know it is a 64 bit

Besides having a CNAME record on my DNS box (which is entirely separate
from the box that I'm running puppetmaster on), I experimented a bit and
on the puppetmaster server I edited the /etc/hosts localhost entry like
this, appending 'puppet' to the end of the line:

I have a series of Fedora 11 audio servers with PCI Creative Labs CA0106

and the PulseAudio server recognizes the SoundBlaster device.

I'm not sure how it works for the kernel images because those are
compressed. You can use file otherwise:
[...@deafeng3 ~]$ file /usr/bin/zip
/usr/bin/zip: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV),
dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.18, stripped

Hi,
After succesfully installing Fedora 10 x86_64 on a AMD64bit machine.
I am not able to have the machine recognize the newly installed

It would try to reinstall fedora as if no operating system was
