Hi, I can not seem to log into Fedora Forum! I tried to contact the
Administrator, nothing worked!
Paul, can you e-mail me the answers to the questions I e-mailed earlier the
day after Fedora 10
is released, it's so appreciated!
Thanks!

anyone? I think it makes great sense, this will challenge Ubuntu for
sure!!!
Please tell me something along those lines is already happening, if not, why
not???

With the economy on the brink of recession, LINUX could save the day for
everyone needing a reliable Operating System! We need to reach out to
Windoze/Mac Users who haven't taken the plunge yet.
What can we do to lure them in?

The only way I would contribute to Fedora Weekly News is to also have the
Fedora related News I write appear on my Linux Blog which I want to convert
to a Magazine with other Writers who care about Linux as I do. This is how
I want to do it...

I too think there should a Fedora News Channel site covering success stories
with Fedora, Red Hat related news concerning Fedora, educational uses of
Fedora, multimedia uses, and FUN things to do with it as well.
If anyone loves the idea too, let's propose : FedoraNews.wordpress.com,

I remember Red Hat Linux all too well, I think it needed to go away for a
while, but now that Vista isn't doing so well, it is time to revive RHL but
have it sold to Small Businesses instead. So I will put out the Proposal on
my Linux Blog and see if that need could be fulfilled. I am tired of
I'm sorry I couldn't be at FUDcon this year, I wish there was a virtual
extension of it, however. I look forward to all the news from it so I can
put something on my blog. I want to know the latest on Fedora 10! In the
meantime, I am getting ready to compose a second proposal, and I want to
The real reason why I came up with the fedoraLife concept is to have a
Fedora Studio spin established that either has the fedoraLife suite that
enhances already established software OR puts the already established
software front and center. So people who work in multimedia can access
their tools
on my blogs...

What Apple does for its OS is what Fedora should also do. Which is a
collection of additional optional software that can do multimedia and
enhance existing technologies. The fedoraLife Concept is several visuals
accompanied by descriptions that will inspire many Fedora programmers to

I want to make this clear, I am NOT a programmer. I only know how to design
a framework in GIMP for HTML/CSS programmers to show what code would need to
be filled in. The example on my linux blog at linuxglobe.wordpress.com,
shows what I had in mind as far as the high bandwidth. The low
High Bandwidth Virtual FUDcon

Low Bandwidth Virtual FUDcon

This can be applied to any Linux Convention not just to FUDcon...
Please discuss this topic, it would be so great for
*Hello to everyone who cares about Fedora!!!*
I come to you with a proposal about how a Virtual FUDcon could be set up
on a web site...
When a REAL Convention is happening in a city, a virtual extension takes
place as well.
On my Linux Blog (http://linuxglobe.wordpress.com,) there is a example of
This idea just came to me, it is 2008, it is an election year in USA! As
soon as Fedora 9 is released, I think it is time to have a POLL of which
Linux OS you would vote for as the best! I see Ubuntu as Hillary Clinton
and Fedora as Barack Obama, both wanting to be the best! If there was an OS
My name is Markus McLaughlin, I am a Screenwriter who loves the Linux OS!
So much so, I want to publish a Linux Magazine for North America! I chose

each FUDcon or a FUDcon that takes place
in each continent at the same time.
As far as marketing, have small ADs
The names that come to mind are Vulcan, Vader, HAL, Cyberdine (Terminator
Reference,) Suomi (Linus Torvalds' Reference,) Hawking, and Fife (Don
Knotts' Reference) for Fedora 9 or 10.
As far as a theme, a ST-TNG LCARS style desktop that has a similar look to

Text to Speech Integration Idea for Fedora 9 and beyond
An idea occurred to me when I was walking my Dog last night, there is NO
text to speech RSS reader available in Linux! What I mean by that is I am a

Speech RSS Reader
I hate to be a complainer BUT when I was using the PPC version of Fedora 8
Live CD, wireless networking didn't work on an older iBook I use from time
to time. I hope there is a good solution/workaround for this soon. I think
the bugs must be ironed out for a Re-Spin before Fedora 9 is ready.
How do I get on the distribution list? I want to mail off 100 Fedora

Fedora out and putting in a small plug

Recently I posted on my blog, a challenge. How can Fedora be BETTER
than MAC OS X? I know that the MAC is the best OS out there.
Microsoft is ripping off OS X with
Vista which is not doing well in sales. Thanks to the bad coding,
overdemanding system requirements, and a movement called LINUX!
I would like to know everything about the new features in Fedora 8 and
what might appear in Fedora 9, please release some information so I
can post it on my blog and other linux sites. Public Awareness is key
to continuing success!

Why I mentioned the XO laptop is that it is based on Fedora. For both
projects to succeed in the future, they need more public awareness!
Do you think free publicity would hurt or not?

Chitlesh, thank you for your constructive criticism, but, please post them
on my blog, that would be more helpful. I revised that entry and posted
features that neither Fedora nor Ubuntu offer. I hope I was right, if not,
post your comments on my blog, thanks! In the meantime, I am looking
The next major FUDcon should also be a media event because the XO Laptop
needs funding and since it is based on Fedora, it is time to ask Fmr. Pres.
Clinton and the XO Laptop Foundation's Chairman to come together to talk
about the XO Project and then afterwards Fedora 9 and 10 will be discussed!
I think at any future Linux event, selling of official Fedora
t-shirts, buttons, and hats, will provide some funding for Fedora to
keep it going for years to come. I love the idea of a blue or black
baseball cap with the official Fedora logo, held up by velcro, like
the Boston Red Sox caps, for
How does one upgrade to GNOME 2.20 on Fedora 7?
Will F8 Test 3 be using GNOME 2.20 and will it be under 700 MB?
I couldn't test out Test 2 of F8 so I hope Test 3 will run better as
a Live CD on PPC machines as well as Installations on the other
systems...
linuxglobe is always looking for Fedora
I wasn't able to try out Fedora 8 Test 2, so I am hoping someone will send a

check out what they are doing with MAC Leopard, perhaps something they did

I have CentOS 5 Live CD, it's great to have when Fedora crashes, which it
