Which X driver are you using?
The one out of the box, as I don't know of any 3rd party repo's with F10
drivers yet.

Then you likely mean the 'nv' driver which has no support for
controlling the fan speed.

NVIDIA's website, and this problem will go away.
Heh, never even thought to drop the nvidia version in...
