system (nice introduction in F12 I presume...)
After searching what has been growing I found this in
/home/gcecchi/.thunderbird/pe1wv5qu.default/ImapMail/myimapaccount

Hi,
by default, even in an imap account, TB3 downloads messages to allow
users to read fastly theirs emails. It is a feature you can disable by
the options.
