It's a recipe. You have to replace path to rpm by the actual path to VMware-player-2.0.0-45731.i386.rpm. In detail: su -c runs the command as enquoted as root. You will be prompted for the root password. The command itself is rpm (install/ update etc.), the switches -Uvh mean: -U: Upgrade -v:

For use in Windows, I have installed a BluRay writer into my phenom II system. Since then, I got a long duration boot delay at early boot time, up to four lines sata3: COMRESET FAILED (errno=-32) appear on the screen. Is there a way (e.g. kernel boot parameter) to avoid fedora 11 from that delay?
