Hi there..
Well, the high fiber isn't due to the hair loss. The high fiber is due to the chronic diarrhea. At this point he is not convinced that she has IBD. It may have been giardia for all this time that was just not detected in the initial fecal. My normal vet did not diagnose her with
Hi there,
We are not 100% sure it is stress related, but the Wood's Lamp exam (which I know is only about 50% accurate) didn't turn any up. He also says it does not look like ringworm. It looks more like mange to me, but the skin scraping did not turn up mange. The next step would be to take a
Cats sleep 80% of the day. Keep a log (this means you have to take shifts
watching him or stay up 24 hours), and see what the percentage of sleeping is.
If it's less than 80% of the day/night, then he's perfectly normal.

Your right. When they drew Smokey's blood it was from
the vein in the neck and it wasn't nice to watch but
if my being in there helped him it was worth it. I
have a diabetic cat (Katie) and when she has to have
her glucose checked they use the vein in the neck.

Hi all,
I had to put my 17 1/2 yr old Siamese
to sleep today. My daughter called me and said that she thought Jake may have to
go to the Vet. He wasn't acting right. He kept falling down and throwing up. I
called them and got him right in. He was going into cardiac arrest and liver
failure.

Hi
I've been told that you cannot share things like this with your pets.
I don't know if I believe it. There have been times when one of my cats
became sick not long after me. The vet swears that you cannot share

Of course you can share diseases, just not all of them. The flu is
zoonotic, think BIRD flu (and has been confirmed in a few cats already too, I
believe), and Rabies.
Here's a list that shows the common things that can be transmitted between
cats and humans:
