and i should have qualified my original note: i, too, will get up for
serious fights or if it sounds like someone's hurt. with more than a
dozen long-haired cats in the house,
the advantage to having persians of most any age, and older cats in
general, is that they seem to strike a non-combat relationship with
things like plants. plus, hanging them high enough seems to keep them
safe from all but the kittens--didn't you all hear the sigh of relief

I don't get up for the crashes either (unless it's serious). If
Phelix gets up - well...then I better get up too. Believe it or not I keep
over 100 house plants
I learned along time ago to wear slippers :)
and with that many long-hairs, stepping in
