She is a precious baby, so cute! I am sorry about this Kelley. What is her
prognosis? I am unfamiliar with heart disease in cats. I will keep her in my
prayers.

Hi Kelley,
Sending healing thoughts for your little Missy.
Do you know what grade her heart murmur is?
My Moxie has a grade one murmur and is
noticeably smaller than her siblings. If it is still
there at her one year we plan to have it
checked out by a cardiologist. How old is
Missy? I
She's a beautiful catthinking of you and Missy.

Okay Kelley, I just heard back from my ex. He was looking for all the
paperwork, (her test results, diagnosis etc), but couldn't find it
because he's in the middle of trying to sell his house and everything is
packed away. This is what he told me:
Miss Kitty had a problem where her heart
Hi Gina,
Her prognosis to live at least one more year is pretty good with
conscientious medicating. Her prognosis to live more than 3 more years is
pretty bad.
You don't want to become familiar with heart disease in cats. It seems to
follow me like FELV does yall. I am pretty convinced that
Hi Beth,
She has a grade 3/4 murmur.
She's 6.8 pounds. I was *very* pleased with her weight gain.

Thank you Kelley, I sure hope the medication helps

Please keep us posted on how she's doing...

Kelley,
Did the vet mention anything about the possibility of surgery helping
Missy? I don't know anything about CHF, but the diagnosis you've
outlined sounds an awful lot like what my ex-husband heard when he
adopted a little stray kitten. He opted for surgery and she came
through with
Hi Nina,
I'm surprised to hear that. Everyone I have talked to - the cardiologist,
the internist, the Yahoo heart group - says they are not doing surgery on
cats and that they don't do well at all with heart lung machines. They say
even dogs only have about a 5% survival rate with this
She's gorgeous! Here are vibes that you and the vet can find a way to get
her healthy!

Something is going on with my email. I didn't see Kelley's response
until MC answered it. I'll contact my ex and get more information for
you. He lives in Las Vegas NV. The way he talked to me about it, it
seemed that his vet was very sure that his kitten had a good chance at
survival.
Kelly, I clicked on Missy's pic, and remembered her from last time I
looked -- she is just adorable.
I'm sending her lots of healing vibes. You are both in my thoughts.
hugs, Kerry
