Dear Brenda,
Thank you so much for that story! Ticker and Tater Tot share many similarities; he was born right here in my home to my feral Mee-Too. He was the runt of the sickliest litter of kittens ever! They were seeminly born with respiratory infection (two littermates were taken to the ER
Hi Jenn,
I've got to get information on the CAT scan today; when I had cancer the tumor was found during another procedure and did NOT show on on any of the ultrasounds, nor did any (and I had a lot!) physical pelvic exam give any hint. After it was found, the oncologist ordered a CAT scan to use
I guess the real question should be: Does the
younger vet not want to do the exploratory because he does not want to put your
cat through any painful procedures and he really CARES about his final days
being in comfort; OR, does he not want to do it because he has made up his mind

Hi Everyone,
Most of the cytology is back and there's nothing really definitive; it's "suggestive" of FIP when coupled with other factors (Corona titre, fluid in abdomen, etc.) but the values are borderline low-end "normal" when being used to attempt to confirm FIP.
I may be totally off here,

Julie,
I support whatever you think needs to be done at this point. It is very confusing. I know you like your vet, but is the vet an internist? They sometimes have more knowledge of what to make of confusing situations like this. They are usually at big hospitals and at veterinary referral
endangering Tater Tot. Thanks so much for your input.

I would not have ANY exploratory surgery done to

thing Tater needs right now is ANYONE with negative energy around him,
