included are the sample as .evo, cut from the original .evo and remuxed to .mkv
as well, in case the playback of the .evo should somehow be problematic. both
files don't

my problem: I try to playback a HD DVD AVC source (namely Band of Brothers EP1
and Babel) using ffdshow, but the result are what I would call rainbow frames
basically
