However, I plyed the first two bobbins. Now I'm
thinking I'd rather have singles. Does it make any
sense at all to unply? Or are there ways I could
use a singles and a smaller amount of plyed that make
more sense than trying to unply?
Why not use the plied yarn for ribbing and the singles

past couple of years been collecting the Weldon's Practical Guide to
Needlework, from Interweave. In it there is a huge number of
knitting patterns, but being an English publication from close to
100yrs ago they use
Do you have any patterns for a Shetland shawl? I love to make these and
have scads of wool as thin as hair (well almost) but I can't find patterns.

I recently saw some hand braided leashes that were made of a very
thick cotton cord, maybe 4-8 wpi. Someone told me that they were
made of cotton cord intended for macrame. Lots of different colours,
including variegated.
