I always shear lambs in the fall. Their tender lamb's wool doesn't

You should have 741 yds.
Just set up the problem like a proportion:
2600 yds = x
16 oz 4.56 oz
Multiply 2600 x 4.56 = 11856 Divide 11856 by 16 = 741 yd.
To check for accuracy divide 2600 by 16 = 162.5 yds/ oz.
Multiply 162.5 x 4.56 = 741

I used to do alot of top including merino which all dyed very well

the fiber and then it was spun to take excess water out (in laundry

Ann Blinks had Lincoln/Corriedale crosses for awhile that had some of

I also spin on a Lendrum and have never had any problems plying with

Several thoughts. First of all how concentrated was the dye.
Typically, with a dye such as Lanaset or Pro Chem Washfast acid dyes
you mix a stock for immersion dyeing at 1%. That means for 100
milliters of stock you put in 1 gram of dye. If you paint with that
stock it will be very pale
I have meant to weigh in on this one but have just found time.
Whether or not you soak any fiber to go in any dye is irrelevant in
terms of getting dye to take. You can put all fiber or yarn in dry
and it will dye. It might take a bit longer for yarn especially as
it has to soak in. Factors
