I've been told that the twist angle needs to be around 20-25 degrees (I
think?) to avoid biasing. This will allow enough twist
for the yarn to hold together, but still not give a knitter grief.

Maybe it would have been better to spin a singles at a more severe angle,
one that's guaranteed to cause biasing, and try the steam method, and then
knit up test swatch to check for bias?
Even after knitting you won't know for sure until you wash it, whether that
has taken care of the bias

I went back to this summer's SpinOff issue today, and I re-read the article
by RB about using steam to set twist. She says that prolonged steam (30-60
min) can permanently set twist. By permanent, I think she means it won't
