[Finale] Mass dotted 8th, 16th or 16th, 32nd conversion

Does anyone know of a technique in Finale to convert a string of, say, eighth notes to dotted eighth, sixteenth; or perhaps a string of sixteenths to dotted sixteenth, thirty-second? Can Finale do it itself? Is there a plugin available? Haven't found one yet, but you can ease the labour

A technique I use is to highlight the measure with the Mass Mover in scroll view, it is then easy(ier) to locate as you switch to page view. In finale it appears that the most L.H. measures on screen while in scroll view relate to the measures that will come up when you go to page view. Therefore

My experience [Finale 2003, Windows] shows that when you go from scroll view with a measure in question at the left-most measure (say it is #350), then, upon going to page view, that measure will definately be on screen, even if you do not highlight it with the Mass Edit Tool. However, if the

TGTools has a function for making space at the beginning of a measure. You can also make the space manually by fiddling with beat charts, but this is not much fun if you have a lot of notes in the measure. But here is a trick I just thought of to make Finale leave enough space for

Hi all, A question that may have some importance later for me: Do the results of plug-ins carry over when opening a Finale document in a version that doesn't have the plug-ins? I assume the plug-ins merely manipulate the existing Finale data in very clever ways, but want to be sure. Dennis

As of now, plugins are only automated editing tools. That is, their effects do not depend on the existence of the plugin. This may change in the future, but it should be obvious if it does. -Original Message- From: Dennis Bathory-Kitsz [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday,
