The settings for the display resolution and the size of menu fonts are
adjustable.
A higher resolution or a smaller font will help. Go to Control Panel /
Display. Of course these settings affect all applications, not just Finale,
but it may be your only option.

Brother HL1650: never had any printer problems.
You might check to see if you have the latest printer driver. It is V1.42

If I export EPS pages and have 'include fonts' checked, Finale does the
export then immediately closes. If I do not check 'include fonts' it does
not close.
(And of course the resulting files cannot be opened by GhostScript with the
fonts included but that is old news.)

Are you sure it is compressing to MP3 and just not some other

The options in the selection box say 'mp3' and the degrees of compression
are the same as in other mp3 converters, and it plays in all my mp3 players.
How would someone know that it was not 'real' mp3?

Finale files to PDF using Acrobat Distiller. Things proceed normally until

When the file is output as Midi, I can confirm that the layers show
up correctly as separate tracks, but that the pan information only
appears assigned to one track.
Not a terribly good situation if you use Finale for your Midi work.
There may
to' = 0, then the second staff and 'set to' = 127. When
viewing continuous data by double-clicking the staffs it appears that the
information is in the MIDI tracks.
However, playback continues to be simple mono.
What am I doing wrong?
