I've installed fink on 10.1. Everything went smooth until I selected update

I have installed fink recently again (I had to rebuild my computer) and
I have attempted to install two packages - gimp and grace - that I had
before. I used the same commands I have used before (sudo apt-get
install gimp) but I get 'couldn't find package error' every time I try.

I have installed LyX with the line fink istall lyx.
And it was succesful - i think!?
After it I want to start LyX with the line lyx in the dictionary
/sw/bin/.
The result was the following output:
lyx: Can't open display --No such file or directory

Assuming you have installed the XFree86 packages in Fink, you can start
