I added libgettext8-dev (and some env vars as in .info) .

Now libspatialite is linked to intl (see below), and rebuilt gdal and
gdal-py just in case, but the problem still remains. Could anyone help solve
the problem?

$ otool -L /sw/lib/libspatialite.1.1.3.dylib
/sw/lib/libspatialite.1.1.3.dylib:
/sw/lib/libspatialite.1.1.3.dylib (compatibility version 3.0.0, current
version 3.3.0)
/sw/lib/libintl.8.dylib (compatibility version 9.0.0, current version 9.2.0)
/sw/opt/libgeos3.2.2/lib/libgeos_c.1.dylib (compatibility version 8.0.0,
current version 8.2.0)
/sw/opt/libgeos3.2.2/lib/libgeos-3.2.2.dylib (compatibility version 0.0.0,
current version 0.0.0)
/sw/lib/libproj.0.dylib (compatibility version 6.0.0, current version 6.4.0)
/sw/lib/libiconv.2.dylib (compatibility version 7.0.0, current version
7.0.0)
/usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib (compatibility version 1.0.0, current version
125.2.10)
/usr/lib/libstdc++.6.dylib (compatibility version 7.0.0, current version
7.9.0)

Thanks
