want to install subversion (svn) using fink, but it's not listed. I
even copied /sw/etc/fink.conf from my PowerPC machine and I still
only see 107 packages.
Your PPC machine is probably unstable, and your intel machine not.
Did you fink selfupdate and update-all after cloning fink.conf?

Sorry, yes, I keep forgetting that if it wasn't universal the release
wouldn't have shipped.
OS: 10.5
Arch: intel
Symptom:
fink install libapache-mod-php5
Crash during first 'configure' step: unable to find rfc822.h.

Hi,
mercurial 0.9.5 has some interesting extensions, such as imerge,
convert or record. I've seen that by default only these extensions are
configured in Fink:
/sw/etc/mercurial/hgrc
[extensions]
gpg=
hbisect=
hgk=
mq=
transplant=
patchbomb=

I'm not sure about the error here. I'm going to have to ask for help on
this one.

It's probably worth looking at the config.log . I wasn't able to
reproduce this on 10.5.1/PowerPC, with or without
freetype2-hinting-dev installed.

The following extract from config.log seems strange, but I am no
expert on these things:
configure:20590: checking for FT_Init_FreeType in -lfreetype
configure:20620: gcc -o conftest -g -O2 -L/usr/X11R6/lib conftest.c -
lfreetype -L/Users/Zee/Desktop/freetype2//lib -lfreetype -lz 5
I've been googling for /Users/Zee but I don't find anything. I think
you might have something odd installed on your system in /Users/Zee or a
.pc file pointing at /Users/Zee.
My system doesn't show those sorts of errors and never goes into /Users
in config.log.

thanks for the reply. I applied the changes you suggested and the install now
runs to the point where I get the error:
mv: rename
/sw/src/fink.build/root-qt4-x11-4.3.2-1021/sw/lib/qt4-x11/plugins/codecs to
/sw/src/fink.build/root-qt4-x11-core-shlibs-4.3.2-1021/sw/lib/qt4-x11/plugins/codecs:
No
