When trying to compile gnuchess, ./configure fails with the following
message:
checking for C compiler default output... configure: error: C compiler
cannot create executables

Are fink installs logged to any file? A program I use stopped working
more or less around the time fink updated a number of packages, and I
suspect one of them may be the culprit, but can't remember precisely
what was installed.
