My OS is 10.6.8, so i guess it makes sense that I'm not getting any
binaries.
I added the unstable repos to rsync, that did the trick (need to manually
add the line in fink.conf) But I still run into the same error:

rsync still doesn't have ghemical...
and apt-get doesn't find ghemical after i add unstable repos to the
fink.conf file (in contrast, apt-get on my linux distro works).

I've installed the X11SDK.pkg from the xcode/packages cd and after
following Q9.11-13 fink still insists on installing X11 from the
repository. When I run fink list -i system-xfree86 it displays
nothing. fink-virtual-pkgs --debug shows the following:

I noticed that there exist two branchs of the Fink distribution : 10.4
and 10.4-transitionnal. Currently my fink is configured to use
10.4-transitionnal, should I switch to 10.4 and what is the difference
between the two branches?

Hi, i've installed the leafnode package. All works fine, except that
the news crontab send me these messages for each invocation of
fetchnews or texpire:

Trying to install XChat, fink first try to build gtk+2 but fails with

Seems like it should be displaying the name of the failing module. Are
there any other apps that would use the gnome-vfs libraries that I could

I've successfully installed sane and xsane from fink, but i'm unable
to find out how to configure sane to make it recognize my Epson 1240U
scanner.
With NetBSD, it was just a matter of putting a line like:
usb /dev/usbcanner0
in sane.d/epson.conf
but there's no such device on OS X...

(sample files are for Linux or *BSD) ;-)
