Do you have more concrete measurements or cases? And some times (best,
worst, average) according to the amount of data being replicated?
Particularly I'm interested in asynchronous replication only.

Restarting the servers: are there some performance issues expected due to
restarting (looising data, long-time unavailability etc.) ?

Is it possible and how does a replica become primary at some point?
e.g. in A->B->C, when A fails to become B->C ?
Further, is it possible and how that from A->B->C the following happens
A<-B->C ?

Does anyone know the reason for the following?

Ok, I will try it.
For some reasons, ldconfig wont find the the
/usr/lib64/libfbclient (aka /opt/firebird/lib/libfbclient)
Shouldn't the installer set LD_LIBRARY_PATH or similar ?

Hello,
how would you communicate with a fb 4.0 server with e.g. an external
component, which would like to control the FB 4.0 server replication
behavior ? Are there interfaces for it, protocols (e.g. tcp etc.) ?

ldconfig) and thus executables needing the fbclient cannot find it.
How is the installation/setting of the environment of/for the fbclient on
