Server freeze without log entry
-------------------------------

                 Key: CORE-3473
                 URL: http://tracker.firebirdsql.org/browse/CORE-3473
             Project: Firebird Core
          Issue Type: Bug
    Affects Versions: 2.1.4
         Environment: SuperMicro server
MS Windows Server 2003 R2 Datacenter x64 Edition Service Pack 2
Intel Xeon X5680 3.33 GHz
24 G RAM
The gdb stored on a IO-drive 2, but the exe is on a normal HDD.
We use 32 bit edition of firebird.
            Reporter: Szabó Gergely

We have moved from ver 2.0.5 to 2.1.4 a month ago.
The previous version sometimes generated a freeze with an error in the log:
INET/inet_error: read errno = 10054 and broken port, server exiting 10061
After these errors the whole company (cca. 100 worker) frozen and we have to
kill the FB process via task manager to continue.
After the upgrade sometimes an error happens:
No log entry
both Integrated Management System (ExPanda, hungarian development) and db
managers (ibconsole,sqlhammer etc) freezes.
The solution is to kill all the fb_inet_server processes and then restart the
default instance.
The event viewer does not contain any information.
These is no any entry in the logs such as in the Sinatica Monitor. We are in a
dead end and have no idea which way to go.
Could you please tell us, which program r setting can make us clever in this
situation?

The modified lines from firebird.conf:
DeadlockTimeout = 100
UsePriorityScheduler = 0

The problem occurs almos every week, but we can not reproduce directly.
What kind of infomration dou you need to find the cause of this error?

Regards.
