                 Key: CORE-5242
                 URL: http://tracker.firebirdsql.org/browse/CORE-5242
             Project: Firebird Core
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Engine
    Affects Versions: 2.5.5
         Environment: Tested on:
Linux db 3.8.13-55.1.5.el6uek.x86_64 #2 SMP Wed Jan 28 17:03:28 PST 2015 x86_64
x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux, FB 2.5.5 classic
            Reporter: Omacht AndrĂ¡s

Hi,

we have a database running on Linux, FB 2.5.5 classic.

Connecting to the database the SWEEPER is starting, but the connection
terminating immediately.

firebird.log:
server Sun May 15 22:38:09 2016
        Sweep is started by SWEEPER
        Database "/u1/firebird/db.gdb3s"
        OIT 1385251, OAT 1440517, OST 1440517, Next 1440518
(no sweeper or connection error reported in log)
client side:
Error reading data from the connection
Connection will be closed immediately.

After changing the sweep interval:
/opt/firebird/bin/gfix -h 1000000 /u1/firebird/db.gdb3s
the database works as expected.

If we backup with gbak without -g option (running garbage while backuping) gbak
fails:
...
gbak: writing domain RDB$1691
gbak: ERROR:Unable to complete network request to host "127.0.0.1".
gbak: ERROR: Error reading data from the connection.
gbak: ERROR:gds_$open_blob failed
gbak:Exiting before completion due to errors

with -g option works fine. After restore everything is ok again.

This is the secound time, when this database produces this mistake. I can send
you privately via ftp (1.5 GB gzipped) if needed.

Mobile security can be enabling, not merely restricting. Employees who
bring their own devices (BYOD) to work are irked by the imposition of MDM
restrictions. Mobile Device Manager Plus allows you to control only the
apps on BYO-devices by containerizing them, leaving personal data untouched!
