[Firebird-net-provider] FirebirdSql.Web.Providers.dll 2.5.0.0 requires FirebirdSql.Data.FirebirdClient.dll 2.5.0.0

the problem. I also tried to use downloaded FirebirdSql.Web.Providers.dll with changed client version in machine.config to 2.5.0.0. It worked for my asp.net app but not for DDEX in VS08. Is there less complicated solution for this version problem? Without local copy of dlls. -- Miroslav Hrázský

Maybe I don't understand your problem exactly but using GUIDs instead of generators simplifies inserting new rows into tables with only ID PK, and many other things. We have firebird database full of generators (8 years old decision) and I have dreams about starting from scratch.
