Good day,
This may not be tha best media to ask but I'll go ahead and ask.
I have a NT server behind a firewall. This server has an ethernet card and a
Token Ring card. Is there any way I can see both networks (Eth and TR) from
the Network Neighborhood.
BTW there a consideration that this
Definitely! Can't see hoe to avoid this. Beats any other DNS schemes,

well I can't give up. there must be something more than just letting

In my fw's log I can see that both 1723TCP and protocol id 47 are permitted

We would like someone to review our overall security.
Good luck with finding local talent.
You should also plan on some penetration testing (it gives the best picture
of your 'real world' Internet security).

Hi.
I'm looking at implementing a VPN for our mobile users.
We actually have a linux firewall (ip filtering + masquerading).
Our mobile users already have internet connections over untrusted networks,
this is why we want to use a VPN between them and us.
First scenario (preferred): what
Port 113 TCP and UDP is an Authentication Service
if that's what you wanted to know.

I've been looking in to this as well, for Linux-Linux application.
There seem to be quite a few choices; from what I've seen, vpnd looks like
the simplest, although ppp-over-ssh has a great appeal, being built of rather
older, well-tested and well-trusted components.

I've just installed Gauntlet 5.5 for NT and have gotten everything working
except the stupid http proxy. It works from the firewall, but not the rest
of my LAN. I keep getting reset by peer messages in the log. I'm using NAT
and have transparency turned on.
I had 5.0 working just fine. Has

prefer a homebuilt solution of using TIS FWTK plus packet filters on a unix
box of some fashion, but that is not an option here for a variety of
reasons
Hi all,
We have FW-1 at work. Recently, we get tons of http requests/sec. It looks
like someone wrote a script to continuously hit our web server. We turn on
SYNDefender gateway. It supposes to help, but it also creates other
problems as well. The properties is set to 30s for timeout and
I use raptor on Solaris rather then on NT, comments below
