Steve,
Take a look at
svn://206.216.146.154/svn/repos_sdr_windows/PowerSDR/trunk/Documentation/Fle
x-5000_Owners_Manual_v1-10-3.pdf. The last section of the manual has an
excellent tutorial on the windows.

Chances are pretty good that the Flex is not presenting a low enough
resistance in the on state to satisfy the Alpha. Regardless of the
amplifier keying requirements, I really recommend the use of an external
amplifier keying interface, such as the excellent AmpKeyer.
There is a FlexWire UCB in development, but there is no ETA on it.

Any software that works on any of the current or older SDR hardware?
I bought a 24 Intel Imac on whim. Anyone tried PowerSDR under Bootcamp?

Several have. And done so successfully. I was hoping to have some material
for a KB article on the setup, but I have not received any to date.

I am getting very close to having a Java GUI working with DttSP on the
Mac (and Linux) using the USB dongle for the SDR-1000.
Rx seems to be working OK, needs some more work to get TX finished. I
have the RX working with both the built in sound card and an Edirol FA-66.
If you are interested
I am using power sdr version 1.10.3 with my sdr 1000 and I am unable to hear
anything on the second receive frequency. Any ideas? I know that was working
fine on a prior version. Thanks and 73

Just to add some spice to the sauce, my microphone of choice (because I
already had it) has been the Radio Shack 33-3018 dynamic microphone
direct into the FA66 sound card. Get great comments on the audio with
some tweaking on the 10-band equalizer. Low voice, need more highs.

i've been using this mic http://www.shinybox.com/ on my SDR-1000. it's
ribbon mic so the output is pretty low. i boosted it up with an ART Tube Pac
tube preamp, it probably isnt needed but it is a cool toy.
http://www.zzounds.com/item--ART131 it also provides a knob to keep my mind
occupied.
